What Our Services Cover and What Falls Outside
Last updated: October 2026
California Pest Pros provides structural pest control work under the California Structural Pest Control Act, Business and Professions Code §§ 8500–8697, and our technicians hold licensing through the California Structural Pest Control Board. Our standard agreements cover inspection, treatment, and follow-up visits for common structural pests, with all pesticide products applied according to FIFRA labeling requirements and California Code of Regulations, Title 16.
Some work requires a separate written agreement. That includes fumigation performed under California OSHA rules (8 CCR § 5218), repairs to damage caused by pests, exclusion construction beyond the scope of a treatment plan, and any wildlife or agricultural work handled through the Nevada County Agricultural Commissioner.
Products are disposed of per label directions, and hazardous waste is manifested through the California Department of Toxic Substances Control when applicable. We will always tell you in writing if a job needs its own agreement before work begins.
Booking Visits, Rescheduling, and Cancellations
Appointments can be scheduled by phone or email. Once a date is set, we confirm the arrival window in advance so you can plan your day.
If you need to move or cancel a visit, please give at least 24 hours notice. Cancellations made inside that window, or missed appointments where we cannot access the property, may be subject to a trip charge we will explain any such fee before you confirm the booking.
During a visit, our technician may find something that changes the job, such as a larger infestation than expected or a condition requiring a different product. We will not expand the scope without your approval.
You will get a clear explanation of what changed, what it costs, and your options before any additional work starts. If access requirements apply clearing stored items, securing pets, or unlocking gates we will list them ahead of time so the appointment runs smoothly.
Quotes, Pricing, and When Payment Is Due
Before any work begins, we provide a written estimate describing the services, products, and number of visits included. The estimate is based on what we can see at the time of inspection; if conditions change, we issue a revised quote and wait for your written approval before proceeding. You are never billed for work you did not sign off on.
Payment is due when service is completed unless your agreement specifies a different schedule, such as installment billing for multi-visit treatment plans. We accept standard payment methods and provide a receipt for every transaction.
If a quoted price needs to change because of added scope, inaccessible areas, or product substitutions required by the label we explain the reason and get your approval first. We do not add hidden fees after the fact.
Questions about an invoice can be raised any time before or after payment, and we will review the charges with you directly.
Our Workmanship Commitment
California Pest Pros stands behind the quality of the work we perform. Treatment services carry a service warranty for the period stated in your written agreement this varies by pest, treatment method, and property conditions, so the exact duration is listed on your estimate. If covered pest activity returns during the warranty period, we return and re-treat at no additional labor charge under the terms of that agreement.
Coverage depends on the property being maintained as described in your plan. The warranty can be limited or voided by conditions outside our control, including new construction or remodeling that opens fresh entry points, moisture problems introduced after treatment, sanitation issues that attract pests, structural repairs done by others, or refusal of recommended follow-up visits.
Fumigation and one-time treatments carry only the warranty stated in their specific agreements. We explain the applicable warranty terms in writing before work starts, so you know exactly what is covered and for how long.
Limits of Our Liability
Our responsibility for any claim arising from services performed is limited to the amount you paid for the specific service in question. This is the standard limit permitted under the California Structural Pest Control Act, Business and Professions Code §§ 8500–8697, and it applies to work done in line with licensing rules set by the California Structural Pest Control Board and pesticide use requirements under FIFRA and Title 16 of the California Code of Regulations.
We are not responsible for pre-existing conditions we did not cause and could not reasonably identify at inspection, including hidden structural damage, prior infestations in inaccessible areas, or conditions created by other contractors. All products are applied strictly per their EPA-approved labels, and fumigation work follows California OSHA requirements at 8 CCR § 5218.
Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited under California law. If you believe a problem stems from our work, contact us right away so we can inspect and address it.
